Hey wonderful Mad Camp supporters!

We had our second volunteer gathering and lots of ideas and actions are flowing – we are really stoked to see this building momentum. And we just figured out there is a $25 public transit option for getting from San Francisco Airport to Four Springs Retreat where Mad Camp is being held! that helps (a bit cheaper and faster from Oakland airport). And… we have a date and location!

After a search and consideration of budgeting we’ve settled on July 20-24th 2023 at Four Springs in Middletown CA

We visited Four Springs and got some serious positive vibes – this is the place for Mad Camp

280 acres (!) of gorgeous pristene forested goodness in the rural Mayacamas mountains… quiet and embedded in nature… 2 hours north of San Francisco. Founded in the 1950s Four Springs has awesome cabins, hiking trails, a library, meditation room, a main hall, art room, pool, patio, and plenty of space for tents and hanging out. The facilities are simple – small wooden cabins mostly with shared baths – perfect for a summer camp. They’ve never hosted anything quite like an intergalactic psych survivor gathering, but director Tim spent a couple of hours with us touring the center and discussing our plans and completely welcomed the idea. He agreed to open the center to us – we will have the entire 280 acres to ourselves for 5 days and 4 nights! We just put down the deposit for July 20-24th 2023… and we are all really excited and having our first volunteer gathering this week to move on to Stage 3… promo and planning…
